STAR Academy robotics leagues provide training and experience for beginners and advanced alike, using popular platforms like First Lego League™, VEX IQ™ and scratch-build prototypes. Our coaches are all veteran builders or competitors, determined to accelerate your success with robotics. Intro classes, rec. leagues, travel teams and even private training are available to suit your interests.

Intro to Robotics

1-1/2 hour, 1 session course 

Where to Start? See and use actual models.
  • Understand the many robotic platforms and age-appropriate options.
  • Learn about available training and opportunities for competition.
  • Determine the best approach for you or your student to do robotics.

Fall Robotic League

$75

Learn to compete with experienced robotics coaches!

STAR Academy Robotics League is for elementary school students interested in First Lego League (FLL), or middle school students interested in VEX IQ robotics.

No robot? No problem…

Equipment rental is just $49 for the fall league.

Travel Teams for Robotics

Design-Build School

Learn to use popular CAD software to design a new robot on-screen before you build it.
  • Build your design and test your design, then return to the drawing board to make improvements and modifications.
  • Teaches important aspects of the engineering process along with gaining experience with some of the most common design platforms. FreeCADtm, Fusion 360tm, AutoDesktm, etc.
  • Private, Group, or Class

Private Training for Students or Workforce Development Programs

Competitive Robotics

Learn to design, build, and improve your robot to compete successfully in area challenges. (Available for Lego, VEX IQ, VEX EDR and other common robotics platforms)

  • Private, Group, or Class
  • Develop a strategy and design. Then build, test, and improve your design to be effective in competition.
  • Learn about robotic competitions and judging criteria.
  • Participate with STAR Academy Robotics Club members in local and regional events
  • 12-hour course

Autonomous Robotics

A 6-hour course where you learn to master the autonomous operation of your competition bot.

  • Private, Group, or Class
  • Students learn valuable programming languages and tactics that not only help on the field but get noticed by schools, universities, and employers
  • Coaches help you to create, tune, and troubleshoot your operating programs
