STAR-Academy (Science, Technology, Art and Robotics) Academy is Maryland’s new STEM and technology focused training center, based in Timonium. We offer programs in Robotics, Drones, 3D Printing, and Video Game Design. The training center is more than 16,000 square feet with training labs and practice space for each activity. Memberships, courses, camps, and activities are available every week to inspire hope and imagination, developing skills and experience for the careers of tomorrow!

STAR Academy generally offers programs for students ages 8 and up. However, We sometimes make exceptions for particularly talented or interested individuals, or for our summer programs (Ages 9 & Up), so don’t be afraid to ask!

Yes! STAR Academy offers an after-school program up to 5 days a week from 3-6pm. Transportation is available from many area schools. For more information, or to sign up, visit our After-School page here!

No; You do not need to bring your own drone! STAR Academy provides a variety of rental drones for $10-$20 per session. Insurance is also available for an additional $5. (Cost of repairs or replacement is the responsibility of the participant for uninsured drones.) If you would like to bring your own drone to learn on, you are more than welcome to do so!

Of course not! We sell 3, 6 and 12 month Memberships. Whichever best suits your availability. Each offers UNLIMITED access to all training programs

Don’t worry if a class is cancelled or you miss a session. If we cancel on you we’ll let you know via e-mail or text message and offer you a chance to reschedule or receive a credit on your account. In the event you miss a class we’ll do our best to get you in our next available session; space permitting.
